Funeral service for Jack C. Pilgrim Jr., 63, formerly of Enid, will be 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Clark of Purcell, Okla., officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force.

Jack was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Enid to Jack and Maudie (Massey) Pilgrim Sr. and passed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.

Jack graduated from Enid High School and then Northwestern in Alva.

He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, was a Police Officer in Enid for four years, then the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for four years in Grady County.

He entered to the ministry in 1980 as a Baptist minister and has served for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Lawton; daughter, Amy and husband Mike Williams of Chickasha, Okla.; son, Jack Pilgrim III and wife Melissa of Elgin, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Jackie Henderson and husband Taylor Henderson, Amanda Williams, Michael C. Williams II and Zackery Williams, all of Chickasha, and Jamie and husband Corey Cheek, Lacey Saucier, Jordan Pilgrim, all of Elgin, and Kassity Pilgrim of Blanchard; great-grandchild, Taylea Cheek; brother, Jimmy Pilgrim of Enid; sisters, Helen Puckropp of Minnesota, Sue Ann Henthorn of Edmond and Cindy Gamble of Enid; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maudie Pilgrim Sr. of Enid.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
