Nicholas Anthony Patrizi was born May 10, 1936, in Farrell, Pa., to Joseph and Florence Sansone Patrizi and passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, in Enid, Okla.
He served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1973, after serving tours in Germany, Thailand and Vietnam.
Nick and JoAnn Patrizi, his wife of 54 years, were married May 21, 1960, in Sharon, Pa. They were blessed with a daughter, Devon, and a son, Gary.
Nick is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughter, Devon McAnally and husband Tim of Enid, Okla.; son, Gary Patrizi and wife Laura of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, Joseph Patrizi and wife Frances of Niles, Ohio, and Robert Patrizi and wife Mary Ann of Grosse Ile, Mich.; sisters, Teresa and husband Melvin Hockemeier of Vincennes, Ind., and Rosemarie and husband Don Ray of Linesville, Pa.; brother-in-law, Chuck Buckovinsky of Farrell, Pa.; his dear sister-in-Christ, Donna B. White; and grandchildren, Caitlin and Meghan McAnally, and Nathan, Jordan and Nicole Patrizi. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence Patrizi, and sister, Lucille Buckovinsky.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Revs. Devon McAnally and John Wheeler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 7–8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church Care Givers, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
