Jeremy Reid Palmer was born Oct. 26, 1971, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Okla., and died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at St. Mary’s, where he was employed.
Jeremy grew up in Helena and Woodward, Okla., where he spent time repairing windmills with his grandpa. He graduated from Woodward High School in May, 1990, and married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart Lisa Paulk, on June 23, 1990. He earned an associate’s degree in radiology technology in 1992 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Sayre, Okla. They made their home in Elk City, where he was radiologic technologist at Great Plains Regional Medical Center for six years and where their first child, Logan Reid, was born.
In 1997, Jeremy accepted a position as cardiac cath lab technologist at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paris, Texas.
Son Jaden Michael was born while they lived in Texas.
In 2002, Jeremy accepted the position of cardiac cath lab and special procedures supervisor at St. Mary’s and moved his family to Enid. He was active in his church, Garriott Road Church of Christ, was dedicated to the health care of others and was a co-scout master for his sons’ Cub Scout pack 10.
Jeremy was loved by family and friends. He was a strong Christian man who was an example for his children, his family and all those around him. His talents were exhibited through his hands, which painstakingly created works of art from the simplest of materials, and through his heart, which held his family, his friends and his strong faith. He gave of himself through his work and his personal life.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather Cecil Palmer and grandmother Helen Palmer; uncles Chester, Jack and Bill Palmer, an aunt, Shirley Palmer, and uncles Jerry and Charles Jones and Ken and Ron Blosser and cousin Kolton Blosser.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Lisa, and sons Logan, 10, and Jaden, 6, all of the home in Enid; mother Glenda Blosser, Woodward, Okla., and father Jim Palmer, Helena, Okla.; brother Lee Tuxhorn and wife Shelley and niece Anna, Bryant, Ark., grandparents Woodrow and Glendena Blosser, Woodward, Okla.; uncles Randy Blosser, Enid; Bob Jones and wife Charlotte, Fairmont, Okla.; Aunt J.B.
