The funeral service for Raymond (Justin) C. Palecek, 75-year-old Enid resident will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Pat Sutherlin will officiate. A private burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Raymond was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Billings, OK to Charles and Lura (Morgan) Palecek and passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, of an apparent heart attack.
He lived on the family farm until 1944 when the family moved to Enid to help operate the family-owned business, “Palecek Mills.” Raymond graduated from Enid High School and Phillips University, where he made the Dean’s list. He served in the United States Army and the 45th National Guard. In the late 60s to the early 70s he opened and ran Garden Town Nursery, after which he owned and operated a residential/commercial irrigation company until his death.
Raymond is survived by his wife June (Pate) Palecek; his mother, Lura Palecek; brother, Gary Palecek; his son, Vincent Charles Palecek; stepchildren, Stephanie Smith, Deborah Goff and Wade Long; cousins, Jean Neese, Dale Pearson, Beverly Tuggle, Elaine Cox, Karen Ritter, Iryln Carter, Larry Haskins, Janice Songer and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
