May 3, 1936 - August 23, 2023

The graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Jimmy "Jim" Lee Pratt, 87, of Lahoma will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday September 2, 2023, in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Jim was born May 3, 1936, to Jess and Maggie (Holt) Pratt in Shattuck, Oklahoma and passed from this life August 23, 2023, in Lahoma, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Higgins, Texas. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He was in the oil field for 24 years from rough neck to consultant. In 1980 he sold Pratt Drilling that he formed with two partners and continued consulting through 1982. He then enjoyed life spending time between Gunnison, Colorado and Progresso, Texas. The couple made their home in Ringwood, Oklahoma and later built a home East of Lahoma, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife Jean Pratt, of the home; three daughters, Cindi Shurtz, of Woodward, Debra and Elizar Galvan, of Kingwood, TX, Cathie and Cliff Dykes, of Greenville, SC; one son, Steve and Jerri McKnight, of Coldwater, Kansas; Daughter-in-law Cindy Pratt, of Medford, OK. He was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jess and Maggie Pratt, one son, Ronnie Pratt, one daughter, Gina Reimann. Son-in-law Wayne Shurtz, grandson Ronald Wayne Shurtz and nephew Billy Hunt.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
