March 11, 1953 - May 11, 2024

A graveside service for Richard E. Niles, 71, of Edmond, OK, will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery with Minister Angie Ward officiating.

Richard "Rick" was born March 11, 1953, in Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Tommy G. and Shirley Crider Niles and passed away May 11, 2024, at Stone Creek Memory Care in Edmond, OK. The family moved to Enid where he attended Enid Public Schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1971. He went to Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1975 with an accounting degree. He received his CPA license also in 1975. He married Dorothy G. Bischoff in April of 1993. He worked for several years as a tax accountant. He then worked most of his career in the oil and gas industry, retiring in 2021. He will be remembered as a loving husband and step-father. He loved sports of all kinds, especially his OSU Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy, step-sons Keith and Jeff Blevins of Moore, OK, sister-in-law, Mary Vandever (Keith), brother-in-law Larry Bischoff of Enid, sister-in-law Lintha Niles of Enid, sister-in-law Carol Bischoff, Mustang and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clifford and sister Pamela Bolin, brother-in-law, Paul D. Bischoff.
