A Celebration of Life service for James L. Mueller, age 74, of Enid, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Crosspoint Church with Rev. Asher Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
James was born June 2, 1947, in Enid, OK, to Rowland and Mabel (Eilers) Mueller and passed away early Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in St. Mary's Hospital. He graduated from OBA and Enid Business College. He served as a medic in the United States Army from January 1967 to October 1971 and was honorably discharged. James worked for Stuarts Pontiac and Cadillac, later went to Northcutt's as the service advisor. He worked in the oil field for Bert's Oil Service as the accountant. James opened his own hobby business RCS Hobbies for over 30 years and retired in June 2020. He was an avid benchrest shooter and served as the treasurer for Garfield County Rifle Assn. His other hobbies were fishing with his grandsons and flying RC aircrafts. He married Deborah Clausing Zrust on June 3, 1991, in Enid and recently celebrated 30 years.
He is survived by wife Debbie of the home, two daughters Shannon and Grant Diel and Shelley Mueller, son Sean and wife Cassie Zrust, two grandchildren Colton and Weston, Sisters, Lana Dugard and husband Tom and Larita Galusha and husband Tim, favorite mother-in-law Lois Clausing, and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Garfield County Rifle Association or SPADS Flying Club with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
