Services for Carl Daniel Moser, 21, will be at 11:15 AM Friday in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1810 E. Broadway. The Rev. Jerry Perryman will officiate and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Anderson Funeral Home of Garber.
Moser died Tuesday afternoon in an Oklahoma City hospital of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Moser was born December 21, 1951, at Cushing and moved with his parents to Oklahoma City and Cheyenne before moving to Enid.
He graduated from Garber high school in 1970, as valedictorian of his class. Moser was also a member of the National Honor Society.
At the time of his death, he was a junior music major at Phillips University and belonged to the Student Education Association. Moser was band director of Hillsdale school.
He was employed at Jensen's Music Store. Moser and Rebecca Keller of Garber were married July 28, 1972, and made their home in the Goulter Apartments at Phillips.
In addition to his wife Rebecca, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Moser of Enid; four sisters, Mrs. Bill (Beverly) Dings of Lawndale, California, Mrs. George (Faye) Countryman, Enid, Mrs. Linda Smith of Enid, Mrs. Kim (Cheryl) Overstreet, all of Enid; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Fannie E. Burnell of West Baldwin, Maine.
The body will lie in state in the Anderson Funeral Home in Garber until 9 AM Friday and the casket will not be opened at the church.
A Memorial has been established at Phillips University in memory of Moser. Contributions may be made directly to the University or through the Anderson Funeral Home.
