Helen Lillian Morris of Edmond, 99, passed away Nov. 7, 2009. She was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1910, on Cheyenne Arapaho lease land where her father was a farmer in Dewey County, Okla., to John and Stella (Sterba) Hussman.
Helen was proud to be a school teacher and touched many lives during her teaching career. Her proudest moments were caring for her husband, children and home .
She is survived by two sons, John Morris and wife Tonya of Tuttle, Okla., and Tom O. Morris and wife Mary of Edmond, Okla.; son-in-law, Robert Stephens of Coralville, Iowa; five grandchildren, Mike Edgmon and family of Tenaha, Texas, Dick Edgmon and family of Guthrie, Okla., Wade Morris and wife Page of Point of Rocks, Wyo., Doug Morris of Edmond, Okla., and MaRanda Harp and husband Steve of Tuttle, Okla.; and two great-grandchildren, Zack and Aubrey Morris. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, C.A. Morris; her daughter, Donna Stephens; two sisters, Laurena Reed and Donna Louthan; and one brother, Ernie Hussman.
A graveside service honoring Helen will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, in Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel, Enid, Okla. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Baggerley
Funeral Home in Edmond. Service is under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home of Edmond, Okla.
