Funeral services for Lois B. (Gene) Morphew, 51, 1124 N. 10th will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobbie Sunderland officiating. Burial Will Follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Morphew died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Wolf, February 1, 1919, and moved with his parents as a child to Maysville, where he grew up and attended public schools.

He married Dorothy Marie DeGraffenreld in 1941 and she preceded him in death, in 1948. He married Virgie Skaggs in 1949 and they moved to Enid in 1951. He had worked locally as a truck driver and at Serv – Air Inc. since 1963.

He is survived by his wife, Virgie, of the home; two sons, Randall Gene of Colorado and David Bruce of the home; three daughters, Lynda Gayle Pelfrey, Moore; Sharon Lee Morphew, Enid; and Cynthia Ann Morphew of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee M. Morphew, Maysville; one brother, Bobby Lee, Avenal, California; three sisters, Mrs. Pat (Laverne) Wigley and Mrs. Marvin (LaVerle) Narramore, both of Maysville, and Mrs. Jack (Mary Lee) Reeves, Moore; five grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by one sister.
