Robert Stanley Moore was born on February 9, 1935 to Robert Newton Moore and Gladys Rae Crosser Moore and died May 25, 1962 in Gila Bend Arizona at the age of 27.
He married Virginia Dean Rice on January 26, 1954 and she survives him.
He enlisted into the Marine Corps on June 3, 1956 and had obtained the rank of Captain at the time of his death. According to the Arizona Republic, he was assigned to the Naval Auxiliary Air Station out of Kingsville, Texas and was on a cross country training flight when his F9F 8B jet fighter crashed four miles north of Gila Bend. He had left Davis-Monthan Air force Base near Tuscon and was on his way to the Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro California.
He was preceded in death by his father , Robert Newton Moore in 1957.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Gladys Crosser Moore and his brother Ralph Leslie Moore.
