George was born April 1, 1935 in Independence, Missouri to Robert and Dale Payne Moore and passed from this life on October 26, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma with his family by his side.

He was raised and educated in Ft Worth, Tx. graduating from Fort Worth High School in 1954. He then attended Texas Christian University graduating with a degree in Marketing. He went to work for AC Sparkplug Company in sales. He then moved to Okmulgee, OK. to join his uncle’s insurance firm. In 1964 he married Virginia “Sue” Jones in Fort Smith, AK. The couple made their home in Okmulgee and purchased Blossom Shop florets in 1972. He was involved in civic leadership and served as the president of the local YWCA Board of directors, The Lyons Club and the Elks Lodge. He was also a Mason Lodge member.
