Funeral services for Ray L. Mitchell, 33, of Hennessey, will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Free Will Baptist Church with pastor Buddy Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
Mitchell died Friday afternoon, 21 September 1984, at the Fairview Hospital from injuries received in an oilfield – related accident.
Mitchell was born December 9, 1950 in Enid where he was reared and attended school, graduating from Enid high school in 1970. Following his graduation, he made his home in Hennessey where he worked for Seminole Frac Tank Service Company. For the past few years, he has worked for M & D Construction and Trucking, Inc., in Hennessey where he was employed at the time of his death.
While living in Enid, Mitchell had attended the Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Brandy Lea Mitchell of Woodward; a son, Daniel Ray Mitchell of Woodward; his mother, Mrs. Annabelle Mitchell of Enid; one brother, John Mitchell of Concord, California; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Oscar Mitchell in 1977.
