CROWLEY, TX — The funeral for Ronald L. Miller, 78, of Crowley, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with Pastor Timothy Dorsch officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ronald was born Nov. 11, 1931, on the family farm near Fairmont to Herman A. and Clara (Brandt) Miller and left this life on Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Weatherford, Texas.

He graduated from Douglas High School and went to Oklahoma A&M (Oklahoma State University) and Enid Business College.

On June 26, 1955, he married Deanna Roads in Fairmont and they made their home in Enid.

Ronald worked for Champlin Petroleum Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He then went to work for Garfield County Assessor Joe Forbes and retired in 1996.

Ronald was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 54 years, serving as elder and treasurer for the church.

He moved to St. Francis Village, near Fort Worth, Texas, in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kay Snodgrass; and four brothers, LeRoy Miller, Bob Miller, A.C. Miller and Darrell Miller.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Deanna; son, Richard Miller of Hobbs, N.M.; three daughters, Debbie Passmore and husband Michael of Lubbock, Texas, Dawn Kober and husband Konrad of Forth Worth, and Deede O’Farrell and husband Tom of Georgetown, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, Joe and Jess Miller of Hobbs, N.M., Taylor and Logan Passmore of Fort Worth, Coe Passmore of Denver, Molly, Ryan and Nash Kober of Fort Worth, and Kady, Maggie, Erin and Reagan O’Farrell of Georgetown, Ind.; two brothers, Kenneth Miller of Welda, Kan., and Richard Miller and wife Yvonne of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; one sister, Marylou Boepple of Douglas, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. A.C. (Norma Ruth) Miller of Enid; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alzheimer’s Association.
