The graveside service for Frank Von Meadows, age 79, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.
Frank was born September 3, 1938 in Crossville, TN to Walter and Florence (Seagraves) Meadows and passed away January 23, 2018 in Enid. Frank grew up in Springfield, OH. He received his education in the United States Air Force, which took him all over the world. Frank married Ruth Ellis on August 9, 1958 in Oklahoma City, moving to Enid soon after, making it their home. After Ruth's passing, Frank met and married Gayle Green in Enid, where the couple has spent the last 25 years. Frank worked as a food inspector and later a security guard for Hackney Iron & Steel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Frank was well liked and loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Frank is survived by his wife, Gayle Meadows; stepchildren from his first marriage, Freya Jeanne Stewart and James Dennis Warner; stepchildren from second marriage, Lisa Kearns of NC, and Traci Munkres of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Margaret Lewis of Florida, and Carolyn Heaton of Arizona; brother, Rick Meadows of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Danny and Walter Meadows, Jr.
Gayle requests that there be no home visits and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Shriners Burn Hospital or OMRF (Cancer) Division.
