ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Marvin McNaughton, 81, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marvin was born to Roy and Sally “Ola” (Durham) McNaughton on Dec. 4, 1932, in Ashland, Kan., and passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at his home in Enid.
Marvin grew up in Rosston, Okla. He earned his bachelor of science degree from NWOSU. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On July 4, 1953, he married Maxine Cheap. They made their home in Enid, where Marvin was a farmer and owner/operator of Thilsted Electric in Enid and Alva for many years. He was a member of Harvest Time Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; three sons, Monty and Gail McNaughton and their children, Lisa, Leah, Lafe and wife Jena, and great-granddaughter Charlotte; Mace and Terri McNaughton and their children Matt, Jeffrey and Jason; and J.R. and Shiloh Latham and their daughter Aspen; and sister, Lois Torrance of Buffalo.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon, Jesse and Warren McNaughton; and sister, Lola Zollinger.
