Marvin McMullen, 83, 221 E. Walnut, died early Thursday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

His funeral rites will be at 2 PM Saturday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John R. Russell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

McMullen was born September 14, 1888 in Coyville, Kansas, and came to Enid in 1909. He and Winifred Parkey were married March 29, 1927, in Wellington, Kansas, and she survives him.

He was employed by the George Roos Company until retirement. McMullen was a member of the Methodist Church.

A son, two brothers and a sister predeceased him.
