Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Margaret Jean McCreary, 87, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Bob Perry will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. today, May 6, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Margaret was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Thomas and Golden Lilburn Dunworth and passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015.
She was a graduate of Enid High School in 1945.
On her 18th birthday, Margaret married the love of her life, Bill McCreary. Bill preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2011. Together they loved profoundly and raised five wonderful children. Her family was the highlight of her life.
Margaret can be remembered for her contagious laughter. She loved to dance, loved music and most of all, loved life. She was a member of The Followers of Christ Church.
She is survived by daughters, Pam Brueggen and husband John of Cashion, Pat Brown and husband Jim of Lincoln, Neb., and Neta Wayman of Medford; son, Steve McCreary and wife Kathy of Oklahoma City; and daughter-in-law, Susan McCreary of Enid; along with 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, her son, Stan, and great-grandson, Jacob Goeden.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Enid Senior Care Activity Fund with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
