A celebration of life service for Donald Robert McClanahan, 83, of Drummond, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Enid. The Revs. Keith Miller and Byron Neufeld will officiate. Burial will be before the service at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery . Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1925, southeast of Drummond to James Ruben and Corrine Alice Benton McClanahan and died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home.

He attended school at Liberty, Waukomis and Drummond, graduating from Drummond High School in 1943. He joined the Navy in 1943 and served in the Pacific area until his discharge in February 1946. He married Eva Kaupke Aug. 16, 1945, in Livermore, Calif. He was a farmer and carpenter until retirement in 1998. He was a member of Enid First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Eva, of the home; one son, Danny McClanahan of Drummond; one daughter, Donna Long of Winnabow, N.C.; foster son, Gary Scott of Burnsville, MN; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Baptist Church, Falls Creek Cabin.

Celebration of Life Service for Eva McClanahan, age 94, from Drummond, will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Kelly Russell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening 5:00 to 6:00 at the funeral home.

Eva was born September 9, 1923, in Drummond, Oklahoma to Lewis R. and Florence (Woodbury) Kaupke, and passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, in Enid. Eva grew up and graduated from Drummond High School, and attended OSU and later received her degree from Phillips University. On August 16, 1945, she married Donald McClanahan, in Livermore, California. Eva was a member of First Baptist Church.

Eva is survived by her children, Danny McClanahan of Drummond, Donna Long and husband Rick of Winnabow, NC, and Gary Scott and wife Judy of Burnsville, MN; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Fred Kaupke of Enid.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband Donald, brother Robert Kaupke, and sister Ruby Beckner.
