Burton Lynn Maxwell, Lt. Col. (ret), USAF, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. A loving husband, father, friend, teacher, veteran and servant, he will be missed by so many. Burt was born and raised in Ponca City. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors by the United States Air Force.
Burt is survived by his wife Aline of 52 years; daughter Treva Maxwell-Anderson and her husband Karl of N.C.; son Darrin Maxwell and his wife Maria of Germany; grandchildren Rylee and Micaela; sisters Joanna (Frank) Longley and Lynda (James) Williams; and a number of beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, in Burton Maxwell’s name, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
