A celebration of life for Barbara Marquardt, 84, of Enid, will be 2:00p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Barbara Jean Moehle was born July 8, 1935 at the family farm south of Carrier, OK to Henry and Katherine (Zwetig) Moehle, and passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 in Enid. In her childhood, she attended a one-room school for first through sixth grade, and Carrier schools from 7th through 12th grade where she played basketball and was a member of the Glee Club. She graduated from Carrier High School as class valedictorian. She was a graduate of Enid Business College. She worked twenty-eight years for Security National Bank of Enid, retiring in 1985 as Assistant Cashier and DDA Coordinator. She married Vernon Marquardt on August 9, 1959. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother while being an avid gardener and fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Survivors include one son, Wade Marquardt and his wife Michele of Wichita, KS, two grandchildren, Claire and Keira, two sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Moehle and Ruth Ann Moehle, seven nephews, two nieces, and many great-nephews and nieces. She was proceeded in death by her husband Vernon, her parents, and her two brothers, William Moehle and Richard Moehle.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
