Verna Moulton
February 5, 1935 - October 10, 2024
Graveside Services for Verna Moulton age 89 of Enid will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Verna was born February 5, 1935 in Enid, Oklahoma to Vernon and Ernestine (Harmon) Gilger and passed away October 10, 2024 in the Baptist Village. She attended grade school in Enid, Carrier Schools and Loyal Schools, ultimately graduating from Enid Public Schools in 1953. She and Duane met in church and got married in Enid on June 21, 1953. She worked for 22 years in the banks in Enid, and then went to work at the courthouse assessor's office for 18 years. She retired then went to work as a Bus Monitor for Enid Public Schools for another 17 years. She and Duane were members at Emmanuel Enid since 1965. Verna helped Duane with score keeping when he was coaching baseball for the American Legion.
She is survived by her husband Duane Moulton; two sons, Terry Moulton, and wife Hanh, of Las Vegas, NV; Rick Moulton, of Enid; three grandchildren; Marty, Matt, and Cory; six great-grandchildren, Abbi, Andi, Daigen, Bennett, Gentry, and Marshall, three great-great grandchildren, one sister Dorothy Fitzsimmons, three brothers, Richard Davis; Leonard Davis; Max Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents and a sister Ruth Webb.
Memorial may be made to Emmanuel of Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
