The services celebrating and honoring the life of Thelma Sophie Lewis, 91, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday January 11, 2018 in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Michael Frisbie officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born April 15, 1926 to Otto Wienken and Lydia Belitz in Alice, Texas and passed from this life on January 9, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Alice, Texas and graduating from San Diego High School (Texas) with the class of 1944. She was Married to Paul C. Ehlers in Alice, Texas on January 8, 1951, they were married 42 years up to his passing September 11, 1993. She worked as a telephone operator in Alice for 14 years, then moving to Enid in 1964 she worked at Bass Hospital in Central Supply for a few years. She married Ralph L. Lewis in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1994 She enjoyed dancing at the Civitan Club and VFW and her fur baby Prissy. She attended Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Rehm and companion Gary McCormick and Brenda Prammanasudh and husband Louie, of Enid; two granddaughters Kerri Prammanasudh of Broken Arrow and Stacy Upton and husband Phillip, of Broken Arrow, and one grandson Michael Don; three great grandchildren, Eve Jackson, Ryp Upton and Ryder Upton one sister, Wanda Luce of Mathis, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lydia Wienken, two husbands, two sisters, Ophelia Skroruppa and Nora Fink, and two brothers, Victor Wienken and Erwin Wienken.
