Funeral services for Lois M. Lewis, 87, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jerry Galbreath will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lois was born December 21, 1919, in Helena, to William and Myrtie Mae Farr Swinton, and passed away, Friday, May 25, 2007, in Highland Park Manor.
She was a graduate of Jet High School. On February 10, 1940, she married Alfred Lewis. The couple made Enid their home. She worked for Marquis Studios and later retired from Enid Public Schools. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 29 years.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lewis of Enid; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Lewis of Waukomis; one sister, Nila Emmons of Enid; four grandchildren, Loris Sears of New Orleans, La., Sherry Hanson and her husband Bob of Nixa, Mo., Mindy Hall and her husband Russ of Pond Creek, Sara Owens and her husband Tom of Enid; five great-grandchildren, Christopher Hanson and Stephanie Hanson, both of Nixa, Mo., Emily Hall of Pond Creek, Mallory and Brooklyn Owens of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, one son, Dennis Lewis, three sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute with Henninger-Allen Funeral Home acting as custodians for the fund.
