Erma "Jean" (Haynes) Lewis was born September 25, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Grover and Edna Mae (Kappelman) Haynes. Jean was raised in Des Moines, Iowa and was a 1945 graduate of Woodside High School where she was a cheerleader and played basketball. On December 15, 1946 she married the love of her life James "Jim" Lewis.

Jim, Jean and their four daughters moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1961. Jean began her career in banking at Community Bank in 1964 and continued until her retirement from Central National Bank in December 1993.

Jeans faith and family were everything to her. She was a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout and Campfire Girls Leader, Home Room Mom, and was actively involved in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildrens lives. Jean attended and enjoyed supporting everything in which her family was involved.

After retiring she enjoyed traveling with Jim and being with family and friends. Jean excelled in and loved her sewing, baking and gardening.

She was a long time faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Enid, a past member of FPC Chapter III, Enid Civitan Wives Club and St. Marys Regional Medical Center Volunteers, which was very rewarding to her.

Jean was a devoted and dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four daughters Janet (Larry) Maahs of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Barbara (Ron) Perry of Oklahoma City, Terrie Clover of Enid, and Sherri (Randy) Warren of Edmond;

Grandchildren Jim Maahs, Jennifer Kisling, Joanne DeLessio, Julie Garcia, Lisa Perry, Jeff Berg, Andrea Parker, Ted Perry, Kelsie Curtis, Lindsie Padden; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister, Luella Madden of Des Moines, Iowa and her niece and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Jim, son-in-law Philip Clover, her parents and brother Franklin Haynes.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Epworth At Home Hospice or charity of choice with Anderson-Burris Funeral Home as custodian of the funds
