Funeral services for Dennis L. Lewis, age 62 of Waukomis, will be Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 2 pm at Temple Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Strope will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrange-ments made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Dennis was born November 15, 1942 in Enid to Alfred and Lois Swinton Lewis and died October 29, 2005 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He attended Enid High School and graduated in the spring of 1961. He joined the Army in 1962 and served 3 years.

He married Sharon Seltenreich, December 6, 1968.

He worked at Vance AFB for 36 years as an Aircrew Life Support Craftsman. He assumed the position of Helmet Preparations Supervisor in October 1999. Mr. Lewis was recipient of numerous awards such as Vance AFB Sustained Superior Performer in 1990, 8th FTS Civilian of the Quarter for July-Sept. 93, Jan.-Mar. 95, Oct.-Dec. 96, and Oct.-Dec. 98, 8th FTS Civilian of the Year 93, 96, and 98. His additional awards include 71st OSS Civilian of the Quarter Jan.-Mar. 00, and Jan.-Mar. 01. and 71st Operations Group Civilian of the Quarter Jan-Mar 95, Apr.-Jun 96, Jan.-Mar. 00, and Jan-Mar 01. He was twice nominated for the Wright Brothers Award. He worked with the C.E. and Corps of Engineers. The biggest acomplishment during his career was the designing of the present day Life Support Facility. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home, daughters Mindy Hall and husband Russ and Sara Owens and husband Tom all of Enid, granddaughters Mallory and Brooklyn Owens, and Emily Hall; sister Joyce Lewis of Enid and mother Lois Lewis of Enid.
