A Celebration of Life for Beverly Gayle Lewis, age 84, of Enid, is 2 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016, at Central Christian Church, with burial following in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Dr. Jarrett Banks will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Beverly was born November 15, 1931, in Enid to James and Myrtle (Walker) Osburn, and passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at home with her daughters by her side.
Beverly attended Enid Public Schools, graduating in 1949. Following graduation, she attended Phillips University, until she married and moved to Texas. Beverly returned to Enid, in 1979, where she worked for K-Mart before retiring after 22 years. Beverly was an avid reader, but what she enjoyed most was being a mother and grandmother to her daughters and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and Peyton Paige Williams, her great-granddaughter.
She is survived by four daughters, Jamie Lewis, Jackie Potts, Amy Seal, Abby Pritchett, and sister Betty Owens, all of Enid; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Memorials in Beverly's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Central Christian Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
