© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma December 16, 2011 January13, 1923 ~ December 14, 2011 ENID — Graveside service for Floyd Clifton Huey, 88-year-old Enid resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev Richard Ventonis officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 5-6:30 pm today at the funeral home. Service is under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Floyd was born January 13, 1923, the son of Jerry Leon Huey and Allie [Anderson] Huey in Custer County and died Wednesday, December 14, 2011. He grew up on the family farm in Custer County. He was honorably discharged from the US Army Medical Corps after World War II. Floyd married Mildred Hughes Augustr 16, 1951, in Enid. They made their home in Enid, where he owned and operated Huey Nursery for many years. Cliff left his mark in many yards from Enid to Northwest Oklahoma. He enjoyed Western novels, fishing, gardening and especially the relationships he had with each of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Huey of the home; sons, Nolan Dean Huey [Karen] of Hunter and Glenn Eldon Huey [Robbie] of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Jessie Huey of Altus. Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Leon Huey; a daughter, Madonna Kay Ventonis; an infant daughter; one grandson, Jacob Scott Huey; eight sisters; and one brother. © Anderson~Burris Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma February 2024 September 17, 1930 ~ February 1, 2024 Midred Marie Huey went to be with her Lord who say, "Whoever liveth and believe in me, shall never die", John 11:25. Graveside service for Mildred Huey, will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Garden Chapel with Kendon Mulanax officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Mildred was born in Chester, Oklahoma to LeRoy and Georgia [Mangus] Hughes. They moved to Longdale, Oklahoma when she was 3 and finally to Enid in 1944. During this time, she met Floyed Clifton Huey and they married and had 3 children, Donna, Noland and Glenn. In 1963, they started the Huey Nursery and Landscaping that was their life. They were founding members of the Calvary Assembly of God Church. She is survived by sons Noland and wife, Karen Huey and Glenn and wife, Robbie Huey of Enid; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; daughter, Donna [Huey] Ventonis; grandson, Jacob Scott Huey. Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Salvation Army of Enid. |
