Enid, Oklahoma September 9, 2025 August 15, 1923 ~ September 9, 2025 Roy was born on August 15, 1923, to Jesse Valden and Oma [Ellison] Hildebrand in Delhi, Oklahoma and passed away on September 9, 2025, in Enid. He graduated from Delhi High School. Roy married Frances LaVerne Moran on August 28, 1943, and they had 4 children together: Dwayne Hildebrand, Vicki Hildebrand Lefler, Roy Hildebrand, and Scott Hildebrand. Roy worked for several railroad companies which include the Santa Fe, Rock Island Railroad, Frisco Railroad, and Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a switch foreman and conductor for the railroad until he retired. Roy's memory lives on with his two sons Dwayne and Roy Gene Hildebrand; six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances LaVerne Hildebrand; daughter Vicki Sharon Hildebrand Lefler; and son Scott Hildebrand. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma December 31, 2013 December 20, 1924 ~ December 29, 2013 Funeral service for Laverne Hildebrand, 89, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Dr Sheila Combs-Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-7:30 pm Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Laverne was born to Willam Henry and Lela [Hall] Moran on December 20, 1924, in Delhi, Okla., and passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Enid. Laverne graduated from Delhi High School. On August 28, 1943, she married Roy Hildebrand in Sayre. They lived in Clinton from 1957 to 1966, and then moved to Enid. Laverne was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Lawson Lee Sunday School Class for many years. Laverne is survived by her husband, Roy of the home; children, Dwayne Hildebrand [Wynema] of Norman, Vicki Lefler of Enid, and Roy Gene Hildebrand [Melody] of Enid; six grandchildren, David Hildebrand, Robbyn Hildebrand, Brandi Sullivan, Sean Lefler, Constance Gallagher and Jeremy Hildebrand; and eight great grandchildren. Laverne was preceded in death by her son, Scott Hildebrand, her parents, three half-sisters and two brothers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Bartlesville, Oklahoma May 26, 2020 December 7, 1928 ~ May 26, 2020 Homer Allen Hildabrand, 91, longtime Bartlesville resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Homer Allen Hildabrand was born on December 7, 1928 at Hunter, Oklahoma to Chester Austin & Clara Nell [Blanchard] Hildabrand. Homer Hildabrand and Helen Patricia "Pat" Smith were united in marriage on November 20, 1949 at Enid and they made their first home there. Their two daughters were born at Enid. In April 1955 they moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where their three sons were born. Homer started his job with Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, which lasted for 35 years before his retirement. Homer loved his family and enjoyed participating in family camping trips. He also was very involved in, Boy Scouts, PTA, the Kiddie Park, and the Tuxedo Lions Club. Homer and Pat enjoyed square dancing and playing pinochle. Homer is survived by his daughters, Susan Dian [David] Kenton of Dewey and Linda [Tim] Reed of Vinita, Oklahoma; his sons, Bruce [Iris] Hildabrand of Mannford, Oklahoma, Keith Hildabrand and fiancé, Kristie Taylor, east of Bartlesville and Glenn Hildabrand of Independence, Kansas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christy Ruegamer, Jason [Mary Ann] Ruegamer, Jeremy [Regina] Kenton, Michelle [Hector] Campos, Shelly Seay, Kyle [Desirea] Chaney, and Laray Taylor; 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Homer was preceded in death by his parents; Chester & Clara, wife; Pat, brothers; Clifton and Earl, and a sister; Lois Hatfield. Come and go visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday, from 9:00 – 7:00 pm. The family will be present Wednesday from 5:00–7:00 pm to greet visitors. Graveside services for Homer will be held on Friday June 5, at 1:00 pm in the Enid Memorial Park Cemetery, 6405 Memorial Drive, Enid, Oklahoma. |
Enid, Oklahoma June 13, 2008 January 20, 1929 ~ June 13, 2008 Son of the late John and Eula Hutson Hildebrand, he graduated from Saint Jo High School in Saint Jo, TX. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Theresa Orlean Taylor on February 14, 1953, in Gainesville, TX. He was a rodeo enthusiast and enjoyed working in his yard and garden. He was survived by his wife; his daughter, Kaye Hildebrand; his son, Kent Hildebrand; two grandchildren, Taylor and Drew Hildebrand; three sisters, Alice Cook, Vida Weaver and Veima Fowler; and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held June 16, 2008, with The Rev Wade Burleson officiating. |
Bartlesville, Oklahoma May 20, 2016 March 29, 1929 ~ May 20, 2016 Helen Patricia ”Pat” Hildabrand, 87, longtime Bartlesville resident, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at her home here. She was born on March 29, 1929 at Carthage, Missouri to Frank Warren Smith and Wildo Myrtle [Hawkins] Smith. She moved with her family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1933 and lived there until 1939 when the family moved to Enid, Oklahoma. She attended elementary school and high school there and graduated with the Enid High School Senior Class of 1947. She went on to attend Enid Business College for two years. Pat and Homer Hildabrand were united in marriage on November 20, 1949 at Enid and they made their first home there. Their two daughters were born at Enid and in April 1955 they moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where their three sons were born. Pat loved her family and enjoyed participating in family camping trips. She also was very, involved in Boy Scouts, PTA and the Kiddie Park with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat and Homer enjoyed square dancing and playing pinochle. She loved to decorate their home for every season, especially during the various holidays. She collected blown glass Christmas ornaments and Precious Moments figurines. In addition to, her family, Pat loved the family pets, Sam and Von, her two black dogs, her childhood cat, Wimpy and her fish. In addition to her husband, Homer, Pat is survived by her sons, Bruce [Iris] Hildabrand of Mannford, Oklahoma; Keith Hildabrand and fiancé Kristie Taylor east of Bartlesville and Glenn Hildabrand of Independence, Kansas; her daughters, Susan Dian [David] Kenton of Dewey and Linda [Tim] Reed of Vinita, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christy Ruegamer, Jason Ruegamer, Jeremy [Regina] Kenton, Michelle [Hector] Campos, Shelly Seay and Kyle [Desirea] Chaney; sixteen great grandchildren, with one on the way and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Wildo Smith and two brothers, James Parker Smith and Robert Warren Smith. Services for Pat will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Chapel with Rev Tom Cox officiating. Interment will be on Friday, May 27, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery. |

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Scott was born to Roy and Frances Laverne [Moran Hildebrand on October 14, 1965, in Clinton, and died Friday, April 8, 2011, in Enid. Scott moved to Enid in 1966, and graduated from Enid High School in 1983. He graduated from Phillips University in 1988 with a degree in finance and accounting. Scott owned and operated Burger Express for a short time. He also worked as a manager and waiter at various restaurants in Enid. Scott played violin, loved animals and had a great sense of humor. Scott is survived by his parents, Roy and Laverne Hildebrand of Enid; sister, Vicki Lefler of Enid; two brothers, Dwayne Hildebrand [Wynema] of Norman and Roy Gene Hildebrand [Melody of Enid; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
