The funeral for Bessie Frazier, 82, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at First Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Hiram Sims will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.
She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Milburn to George Washington and Emma Torran Johnson and died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at her home.
She attended school in Geary. She married Eddie Frazier. They made their home in Enid. She was a member of First Church of God in Christ, where she served as young women Christian counselor, purity counselor and youth choir director. She worked as a salad hostess at Oakwood Country Club and retired from St. Mary's Regional Medical Center as a certified nurses aide for 26 years.
Surviving are her children, Rev. Donnie H. Frazier of Los Angeles, Calif., Faithan Frazier of Wichita, Kan., John Frazier of Azusa, Calif., Royce Frazier and Craig Frazier, both of Edmond, Robert Frazier of Arkansas City, Kan. Eddie Frazier Jr. of Dallas, Edna King, Patricia Stevenson, Victoria Shells and Ordalia Frazier, all of Enid, Pamela Turner of Wichita, Kan., Dr. Jean Sims of Mobile, Ala; two brothers, Thaddeaus Johnson of El Reno, J.C. Johnson of Spenser; 34 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
