Marilyn Franklin
January 6, 1938 - December 30, 2024

Marilyn Franklin of Enid, OK passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 86. A private service and burial will be Friday, January 3, 2025 in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Marilyn was born in Oilton, OK on January 6, 1938 to Ted R. and Rosa M. Sturgeon. At a very young age they moved to Ames, where she attended school through her Sophomore year. While there she was very active in dance and music. The family then moved to Enid so she could finish her education and graduate from Enid High School with the Class of 1956.

Marilyn married Paul Dean Franklin in August of 1958 and welcomed 2 children, Tim and Annette, to their family. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom, crocheting, and her plants. She also was a big lover of animals having taken care of multiple dogs over the years and the neighborhood stray cats as well.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and former husband Paul. She leaves behind her 2 children, Tim Franklin and Annette Baker and her husband, Greg all of Enid, and 2 grandsons, Craig Franklin of Enid and Bryce Baker of Stillwater.

The family would like to thank Hospice Circle of Love and Greenbriar Nursing Home for their excellent care of our mother and grandmother over the last 1-2 years respectively.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Enid SPCA through Anderson-Burris.
