CAROLYNN EVANS
The funeral for Carolynn Evans, 80, of Enid, will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. The Revs. Gail and James Edmison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK.
She was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Cherokee, OK. to William P. and Ola N. Shutt Carpenter, and died Saturday, April 7, 2007, in Cherokee
She grew up in Cherokee and graduated from Lambert High School in 1944. She attended nursing school at General Hospital and became a registered nurse. She married Robert L. Evans May 16, 1948, in Lambert, and he died Feb. 14, 1988. She worked as a registered nurse at General Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Sunset Estates Nursing Home and Highland Park Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of United Methodist Church. She had moved to Cherokee Manor Nursing Home in December 2001.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynda Evans and Tammi Lambright, both of Las Vegas; four sons, Bob Evans Jr. of Billings, Rickie Evans of Hillsdale, Randie Evans of Enid and Rex Evans of Tonkawa; one sister, Evelyn Stout of Cherokee; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
