Harold Evers
September 29, 1931 - November 15, 2024
Funeral services for Harold L. "Sarge" Evers, age 93, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 25, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church of Lahoma, Oklahoma, with Pastor Randy Foote officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Harold was born September 29, 1931, in Garber, Oklahoma to Emil and Katherine (Schmunk) Evers, and passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at The Commons in Enid.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Garber Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage to Verda Brannon August 14, 1959 in Enid, Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Hackney Iron & Steel for over 40 years before retiring in 1997.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, wife Verda, daughter Beverly Chrisman and son-in-law Paul Chrisman, three sisters and their husbands, Lorlene and Harry Patterson, Dorothy and George Masterson, Berneice and Harold Karner; two brothers George Evers and his wife Mary, and Lloyd Evers. A great-grandson, William Chrisman, niece Alison Evers, and two nephews, Harry Patterson, Jr. and Todd Evers also predecease him.
He is survived by two grandsons, Edward Chrisman and wife Conny, Ronnie Chrisman; granddaughter, Karen Carney and husband Mike, two great-grandchildren, Daniel Chrisman and Misty Chrisman, two great-great grandchildren, Jade and Gabriella, and brother Paul Evers and wife Sherry, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Harold was loved dearly, and will be greatly missed by us all. We take great comfort in knowing he will be with his Lord and Savior and reunited with many family and friends.
Memorial contributions in Harold's name may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
