Funeral service for Joyce Durheim, 75, of Enid, Okla., will be 11 a.m. today, Nov. 26, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Pat Sutherlin and Gail Edmison officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Joyce was born June 23, 1939, in Enid, Okla., to Ray and Velma McArdle. She left this life on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014.

Joyce grew up on a farm near Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1957.

She attended Northwestern State University and Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

Joyce married Charles Hills in 1959. They had two children together, Charla and Chris.

She later married Clarence Durheim in 1969. The two enjoyed traveling together after Clarence’s retirement.

Joyce enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family. Joyce especially enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Oakwood Christian Church, Extension Homemakers and Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her daughter, Charla Good and husband Martin of Enid; son, Chris Hills and wife Lisa of Enid; stepsons, David Durheim and wife Judy of Little Rock, Ark., and Mike

Durheim and wife Mary of Spring, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Vickie Blubaugh of Flowermound, Texas.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clarence.

Memorials may be made in her memory to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
