Beatrice E. Driskell, 86, formerly of Enid, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 29, 2003 in Brandon, FL where she had lived for the past five years.
She was born May 7, 1918 in Burlington, OK to Theo and Blanche Kale Kurz. She was the loving wife of Elwood V. Driskell for 57 years whom she married in Enid Oct. 30, 1937. A loving mother to her son Jim Driskell and daughter-in-law, Susanne Driskell from Brandon, FL. And a loving grandmother to her grandson Scott of Tampa FL.
She is also survived by three sisters, Kathrine Kurz of Enid; Shirley Woolery of OKC; Eunice Sedbrook of Del Rio, TX; and one brother Robert Kurz of Ft. Worth, TX.
She was reared in Burlington, OK and graduated from Enid High School in 1936. She worked for Gold Spot Dairy for several years before going to work in the family real estate business before retiring. She was a life ling member of Central Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10;00 a.m. on Monday Feb. 3, 2003 in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John McLemore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Emid.
