A memorial service for Susan C. (Shields) Diesterweg age 57 of Chester, OK will be 1 pm Tuesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the directions of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Redinger Funeral Home.

Susan was born on September 11, 1954 in Enid to Roland "Dutch" and Helen Horton Diesterweg and passed away May 11, 2012 at her home in Chester.

Susan grew up in Enid where she attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1972. She married Mike Shields in June 1974. She moved to Chester in 1997.

She is survived by her daughter Shemaiah Murphy and her husband Aaron of Tulsa, two sons, Eli and his wife Shannon Shields of Wichita, KS and Seth Shields of Clovis, CA. four grandchildren Colin, Karsten, Kendall, and Christian, and her companion Melvin "Lynn" Haynes of Chester. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Lung Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
