Treva Nelsine Dick, born September 26, 1937, peacefully passed away April 17, 2019. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30. Rev. Pat Sutherlin officiating. Everyone is welcome to go to the Christian Church of the Covenant following the service for snacks and fellowship.

Treva was born in Salina, OK, to Henry Nelson Boatright and Vernice Clona (Smith) Boatright. The family later moved to a farm in Drummond, OK, where she attended school and graduated in 1955. She was a member of the girls basketball team. She loved the game and was an excellent player.

She worked at Consumers Co-op Association, which became Farmland Industries. She later transferred to Imo Grain Elevator as a bookkeeper, where she worked for more than 26 years and retired in 1991.

Farmland is where she met Melvin H. Dick and married on April 22, 1961. They had one child, Shelly Kay. She and Melvin lived in Enid until 2015 when they moved to Texas to be with their daughter.

They were fortunate to be able to travel and enjoyed square dancing for 25 years where they met and made many long lasting friendships.

They are members of the Christian Church of the Covenant. She was chairman of several committees and handled various other duties at the church for many years.

Treva was always the bright light in the room. Anyone that met her loved her. She was an extremely giving person, and you could never stay one up on her. She loved watching all sports and knew more about each one than any man ever could. Family was the most important thing to her and she always made sure everyone was taken care of all the time. She was very close with her daughter and sister. She had a special relationship with her handicapped brother, Dale, and niece Amanda Boatright Holt.

There are no words to express the feelings of joy that she brought to so many lives and the loss so many will feel that she has moved on. She will be dearly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chet Boatright and her sister Bobbie Lemmons.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin, her daughter Shelly Keeling & husband Gary, her grandson Brandon Brunke, her grandson Kyle Keeling and wife Myla, her brother Dale Boatright, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
