Funeral service for Vada Marie Decker is 2 p.m. today, Dec. 18, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Dave Jones will officiate.

Vada was born and raised on the family farm, one mile south of Meno, to John and Mary (Becker) Jantz on Nov. 21, 1922, and passed away in Enid, Okla., on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014.

Vada attended local schools and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1940.

On Nov. 15, 1942, she married Leonard Decker. They were married for 57 years at his passing in 1999.

She graduated from Beaches Beauty School in 1958. She owned and operated her beauty shop for 50 years.

Vada is survived by two sons, Ronnie Decker and wife Betty of Meno, Okla., and Terry Decker and wife Rae of Enid; sister, Wanda Koehn of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; daughter, Janie Shelton; sister, Ruby Everett; and brother, Aldee Jantz.

Memorial donations can be made to OMRF with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
