The funeral for Elvin Charley Crites Sr., 91, of Enid will be 10 a.m. Monday at Central Assembly of God Church. The Revs. Kevin Ward and Garvie Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Ladu-sau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born March 20, 1916, in Goltry to Charley and Stella Adamson Crites and died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, in Enid.
He married Rachel Mary Smith Aug. 6, 1944, in Enid. He worked at Swift’s and Champlin Refinery. He had been a member of Central Assembly of God since 1945.
Surviving are his children, Elvin C. Crites Jr. of Nash, Mary Ruth Smith of Broken Arrow and Dianne Rae Olson of Enid; one sister, Elsie Canfield of Honeyville, Utah; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Rachel Mary, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
