The funeral for Mr. Clair Eugene Corderman, 80, of Enid, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, Enid, with the Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
A special thanks to all the physicians, caregivers, and hospice during the last few years.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or charity of the donor’s choice, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.

The funeral services for Mr. Clair Eugene Corderman, 80, of Enid will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, Enid with Reverend Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Clair was born on August 24, 1934 in Anthony, Kansas, the son of Ernest and Marieta Schuelke Corderman and passed away from his earthly life on November 21, 2014 in Enid.
Clair attended Gibbon and Wakita Public Schools, where he played football and graduated in 1952. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry and served his country from 1955-57. Then worked at the Adams Alloy Plant in Guymon, OK where he met his future Wife. Clair and Yvonne Wells were married on May 31, 1958 at the Victory Memorial Methodist Church of Guymon and lived in Okmulgee, OK while he attended school and studied diesel mechanics. They moved to Wakita, OK and took over the family farm, growing wheat and raising cattle. On the side he did carpentry work and roofing.
Their family was complete with the arrival of a son, Douglas Alan in 1959 and a daughter, Sheri Renee in 1962.
He was a member of the Wakita Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Enid. Board Member of Wakita Farmers Coop and Farm Bureau Insurance.
He was a very caring, loving man and enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, marbles, hunting, fishing, drinking coffee with friends and was always busy doing something.
Upon retiring in 2003 they moved to Enid, OK and enjoyed taking camping trips to Texas and Colorado every year until his health declined. Clair was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dewayne Corderman and nephew Craig Corderman. Survivors include his loving wife, Yvonne Corderman of Enid; son Douglas Alan Corderman, wife Kathy, grandson Jayden of Yukon, OK; daughter Sheri Renee Gumm, husband Brian, granddaughter Nicole of Stillwater, OK; sister, Caryl Jones of Richardson, TX and numerous cousins and other relatives.
