Funeral services for Art R. Collins, 85, 915 S. Washington, will be at 2 PM Friday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Collins was born May 10, 1889, in Centerville, Iowa, and died Monday afternoon from injuries he received in a car accident.
After his birth, the family moved to Katy, Texas, then to a farm near Marshall in 1912. Collins had lived in Enid since 1923 and was self – employed as a floor coverman. He semi – retired and worked as a parking lot attendant for the Yellow Cab Company until completely retiring 10 years ago.
Collins and Theresa Hasbrook were married August 21, 1917, in the Hasbrook home in Marshall and she survives him.
He is also survived by a son, Lloyd Collins of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Alliene) Morrow, Enid, Mrs. Pat (Nadiene) Malone, Sunnyvale, California, Mrs. Custer (Loriene) Kelly, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Reim, Anadarko; 10 grandchildren; five great – grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Velva) Swaim, Enid; three brothers, Pearl Collins of Enid, Charlie Collins, Elk City and Leslie Collins, Tulsa.
The family will be at the Delbert Morrow home at 418 N. 19th until after the services.
