The funeral for Donald L. Cokeley, 75, of Enid will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hawley Baptist Church. The Revs. Les Nikkel and Gary Lillie will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
He was born June 6, 1930, at Enid to Lewis and Nellie Munkres Cokeley and died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1948. He enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard, serving as property book officer until 1986. He received numerous decorations.
He served 19 years as a Nescatunga volunteer firefighter and first responder. He was inducted into the Alfalfa County Hall of Fame in Nov. 1998.
He married Maida Franke July 15, 1950.
Surviving are his wife, Maida of the home; one son, Larry of Nash; one sister, Mary Johnson of Enid; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Nescatunga Rural Fire Department or Hawley Baptist Church.
