OBITUARY
The funeral for Floyd R. "Shorty" Clouse, 89, who died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a period of ill health will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. David Brown will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Enid.
He was born Jan. 1, 1902 in Fannin County, TX to Thomas W. and Margaret Malinda Powell Clouse. As the youngest of nine children when his parents died he lived with his brothers and sisters, He was only 6 years old and lived in several places in Texas and Oklahoma. He was living in Enid, OK when he married Elsie E. Neville on July 10, 1943. They moved to OKC and then returned to Enid in 1949.
After working in several lumber yards, Schueller Fruit Co. and Yount Drug store, he retired in 1977. He was a member of Victory Bible Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Ellen Rowlan; and Velma Jean Hartzell both of Enid; three grandchildren; and two great grand children. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Leota, in April 1982, five brothers and three sisters.
