Celebrating the love of God, the funeral for Erma June Choat will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 1, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Erma June was born June 13, 1930, to the late W.G. and Dorothy (Rickenberg) Schroeder and passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home in Enid.
On August 1st, 1948, she married Everett J. Choat, and they resided in Enid. She enjoyed being a homemaker and for many years she assisted her husband in managing the family business. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1948. The word of God and prayer were the sustaining strength of her life.
Erma is survived by two sons and their wives, Brad and Gloria Choat, Enid, and Steve and Jeanne Choat, Enid; five grandchildren and their spouses, Travis and Tamara Choat, Terry, MT, Eric and Mandy Choat, Drummond, OK, Maggie and Jason Missal, Lafayette, LA, Jamie and Eli Hager, Enid, and Shellie and Sammy Floyd, Enid; nine great-grandchildren; her niece, Karen Eisenhart, Gulf Breeze, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Choat, and her sister, Lucille Choat.
