Brent Rempel, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rempel of Jefferson, died Thursday morning in an Enid hospital following a battle with leukemia. His funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 PM in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with the Rev. Lynford Becker and the Rev. Willis Wantock officiating. Burial will be in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery north of Enid, under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
Brent was born April 23, 1974 in Enid. He had been dedicated into the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church.
Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Jill, of the home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Henry Koehn, Orienta; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob J. Rempel, Kremlin; and great – grandmother, Mrs. V. W. Baltzer, Dinuba, California.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Pediatrics Cancer Association, Inc., or Mennonite Brethren Church for nursery furnishings with the funeral home acting as custodian.
