A private family burial will be in Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery preceding the Celebration of Life service for Betty A. Hamm at Enid Mennonite Brethren Church at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, with Rev. Garvie Schmidt, Rev. Lynford Becker and Rev. Jay Risner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Betty Ann (Becker) Hamm was born April 17, 1937, in Shafter, Calif., to Edward Jacob and Anna (Fast) Becker and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at her home in Enid, Okla.
Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young child and was baptized and received into membership in the Fairview Mennonite Brethren church in June 1950.
Betty was raised in Fairview, Okla., and graduated from Fairview High School in 1955. She then married the love of her life, Clayton Hamm, on June 30, 1955. They made their home in Enid, Okla., and celebrated 50 years together in June, 2005.
She was an active member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church for more than 40 years.
Betty retired from Central National Bank in 2001, after 20 years of service.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves behind many cherished memories for her loving husband Clayton, sons, Randy and Janelle Hamm of Enid, Rodney and Brenda Hamm of Hillsboro, Kan., and daughter Roxanne and Craig Heath of Oklahoma City; one brother, Lynford Becker and wife Ruby of Enid and sister-in-law, Jewel Becker of Fairview. Along with grandchildren Lauren and Mark Williams, Lindsey and Justin Jackson, Garrett and Mariela Hamm, Derek Hamm, Jarod Hamm, Shannon Heath, and one great-granddaughter, Natalie Hamm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Victor and wife Ruby Becker, and Harrison Becker; and one infant sister, Wilma Becker.
Memorial contributions may be made through Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home to Enid Mennonite Brethren Church Open Arms Project.
