Peter RUSMISEL

Imo Cemetery

Obituary
Peter Rusmisel was born in Augusta Co., Virginia, July 4, 1815, and was married to Lucinda Eagle the year 1846. Three sons and four daughters came from this union and lived to mature age except one daughter who died at the age of six years. All have preceded the father except two sons. The mother passed away in the year 1893. Twenty-five years ago he united with the First Presbyterian church at Philippi, West Virginia, and although he has been from there since 1893, had never severed his connection with that church. Until his decrepit years he was a regular attendant at church and was always ready to lend a helping hand in any Christian enterprise. His door was always open to ministers of the gospel of all denominations and his main object in life seemed to be to help others.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Nichols, pastor of Drummond Congregational church. Words of comfort were based upon the text of scripture recorded in Genesis 25,8.
He was laid to rest in the Imo cemetery.
