A Celebration of Life service for Mildred “Milly” L. Jones, age 77, of Enid will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Wesley Byrd will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery, Hillsdale, Okla. Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans.
Milly was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Enid to Warren Victor and Dorothy Bailey Green and passed away Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at The Commons Care Center.
Milly attended Hillsdale High School, graduating from there in 1955. Milly later attended Enid Business College, and she started working for George E. Failing Co. as secretary until she met C.V. Jones. They were married Nov. 11, 1961, in Enid and made their home in Colorado. She moved back to Hillsdale in 1975 and went to work for Henry Gungoll Associates in 1981, until retiring in 2012.
She was a member of Enid Desk and Derrick Club, and she enjoyed history, especially WWII. She was active in the Hillsdale community and played a major role in getting the Veterans Memorial in place.
Milly was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughter, Carol Renee (Jones) Dunnam and husband Charles of Enid; grandchildren, Tanya Speckels, and Austin and wife Chelsea and Emily Parks; great-grandchildren, Ava and Rhett; and niece Louise Green Nottingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmom, and a sister.
