ENID - The graveside service for Teddy "Ted" W. Franklin, 72, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, in the Hillsdale Cemetery . Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 18, 1937 in Bryan, Texas, to Charles C. and Ellen M. Lovell Franklin and died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, in Enid.
He was raised in Houston and in Bryan, where he graduated from high school. He entered the U.S. Army in 1954 and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1958.
He worked for Harris County Security Company in the Houston area, retiring in 2000. He moved to Enid in 2001.
Surviving is one sister, Margie Tharp of Gonzales, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two nephews.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
