The funeral for Earl Martin, 85, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Clyde Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Hackberry Cemetery.
He was born June 3, 1920, in Orange, Texas, to Robert and Mary Martin and died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He moved to Enid early in his life and became a butcher at age 13.
He married Pearley May June 6, 1940. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pearley, of the home; two daughters, Rachel Ruth Ives of Follett, Texas, and June Boehs of Johnson, Kan.; two sons, Earl W. of Woodward, and Robert E. of El Mirage, Ariz.; two sisters, Ellen Swafford of Crowley, Texas, and Evelyn Rogers of Enid; one brother, Harold Martin of Yuma, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, one sister and two brothers.

June 06, 1921 - August 27, 2020 The funeral for Pearley Leota (May) Martin, age 99, will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel, Enid, Okla., with Reverend Timmy Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Hackberry Cemetery, east of Waukomis. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Pearley was born to Jim and Minnie (Newton) May on June 6, 1921, west of Fairmont, Okla. She was the third of seven children. She married Earl Martin on June 6, 1940. She went to be with the Lord on Aug. 27, 2020, at the age of 99.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Pearley loved her family and sent a birthday card with $1.00 enclosed to each member of her family, including new babies and newly married grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday, even when she was sick in the hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Minnie; daughter, Earlene; son, Earl Wayne; sisters, Bonnie, Mary, and Genevia; brothers, James, Edward, and William. She is survived by two daughters, Rachel and June; son, Robert; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
